Your shift begins at a clean, organized cell. You review the work order and blueprint, interpret GD&T, and select the right workholding and tooling strategy. You dial in offsets, load programs, and run the first article—measuring with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to confirm every detail. You tweak feeds, speeds, and tool comp to hit spec, release the job to production, and stay close to operators to keep the process stable and efficient. When something drifts, you troubleshoot root causes, coordinate with programmers, and lock in a repeatable setup before moving to the next challenge.
